Bombilla or Straw: Narrow tube used to suck mate. It can be made of ferrous and non-ferrous materials.

Virola or Ferrule: Metal cover that is placed arround the mouth of the gourd. Is made of iron: aluminium, silver, alpaca and others.

Mate: Is the container for the Yerba Mate Tea. The original Mate is a gourd that is dried, emptied and conveniently cut, but actually can be made of other materials, like: wood, aluminium and more. We usually call "Mate" to the infusion itself.

Base or Support: It is used to place the Mate on it, as a kind of support since the Mates have got a rounded base. If we do not have a base or support, the Yerba would fall when we place the Mate on a certain surface.
